چکیده
Introduction: To study about the efficacy of Peritonsillar infiltration Ropivacaine and pain control in immediate postoperative period following tonsillectomy surgery adult patients. Methods: 80 patients were included age 18 to 50 years. After informed consent, divided into two groups. In Group R 0.5%Ropivacaine with 1:100000 Adrenaline C 0.9%normal saline was injected tonsillar fossa tonsillectomy. Surgery duration, blood loss, time demand for 1st analgesia, analgesic consumption 24 hours, VAS score 1hr, 2hr, 4hr, 6hr, 12hr, 24hr noted. Results: We observed significant during first 4 post-operative hours Value <0.01, <0.01 0.019 respectively first, second fourth score. also difference analgesia request groups group requesting at 518±175 minutes 132±47.95 (P value <0.01). Total requirement 61±22.48 102±27.84 < 0.01). Conclusions: It is concluded that intraoperative causes decrease hours. therefore recommended use it patient undergoing Tonsillectomy.

We conducted a randomized, controlled, double-blind, prospective study to evaluate the effect of intraoperative bupivacaine injection in tonsillar fossa to control the postoperative pain following dissection method tonsillectomy in 40 patients. 20 patients were injected with bupivacaine 10ml of 0.25% and 20 patients were injected with normal saline. Following the surgery we completed the questi...
متن کاملBase deficit in the immediate postoperative period of open-heart surgery and patient outcome
Abstarct Background: Base deficit is a non-respiratory indicator of acid base status that evaluates the severity of shock at the cellular level. Base deficit results from cellular metabolism of pyruvate under anaerobic conditions. In this situation, base deficit is a sensitive marker of the magnitude of anaerobic metabolism and tissue oxygen deficit [1]. Several studies have shown a strong pos...

Background: Peritonsillar infiltrations of local anesthetics and/or locally active analgesic drugs have been used in several studies for relief of post-tonsillectomy pain with variable results in quality and duration of analgesia. Aim: This study was designed to compare the effects of peritonsillar infiltration of lidocaine versus tramadol or placebo on postoperative pain after tonsillectomy. M...
